Guidelines for surveillance of Zika virus disease and its complications

These guidelines aim to provide guidance to the implementation of Zika virus surveillance, based on the experience acquired during the ongoing epidemic in the Region of the Americas. This document provides overall guidance —albeit not exhaustive— on surveillance actions, which should be adapted by countries according to their capabilities, epidemiological context, and health system characteristics.
